I still can’t get over how perfect the synergy is between Boden and Ocado.
Take a walk around Waitrose (Ocado are the home delivery people for the up-scale supermarket) and you will know what I mean. It’s about quality and aspiration and lifestyle and maybe even about paying a little more for lovely things.
These two companies work together to promote their stuff.
I can imagine the family they have in mind; beautifully clothed in Boden leisure-wear eating locally sourced, hand reared, free-range chicken with rocket and polenta salad in a sun-dappled garden.
Finding partners with the perfect fit is obviously a winner.
This weekend I was in Dorset, staying in a lovely thatched cottage, found through a local company specialising in rentals by the coast.
I don’t want to be churlish but I couldn’t help thinking how wonderful it would have been if the complementary bottle of white had been something local or if the bread had been from a bakery that left me a price list and an invitation to pop in during my visit?
Such link-ups would make perfect sense, no?
