About me

Hi, I’m Lucy and I’m really pleased you came over here to find out more about me and what I do.

I’m a former BBC journalist and news reader who’s been truly inspired by all the opportunities out there for small businesses when they choose to embrace social media.

Finding customers and keeping them happy while they decide to buy is the biggest challenge many of us face right now and that means excellent customer service with loads of extra value thrown in.

One of the things you can do is to encourage your customers to spend longer on your website by adding informative and useful articles and linking to your very own entertaining and engaging blog. Add Twitter into the mix and you can respond swiftly to any grumbles as well as meeting new friends who might just want your services one day. The more time they choose to spend with you  now, the more likely they are to come back to you in the future.

And don’t forget the PR benefits of building your presence online. You don’t have to wait for the papers to write about you when you can reach your target audience yourself.

So is social media marketing starting to sound like a good idea?

I would be delighted to help you get started. I already help clients maintain their social media and PR and as a journalist I know how to write and create stories whether in blog format or the 140 characters demanded by Twitter.

So send me an e-mail at Lucy.Thorpe@btconnect.com for a chat.
